Vitamin D3

Vitamin D3 is a form of vitamin D produced in our skin through exposure to sunlight and can also be obtained from certain foods and supplements. It supports healthy bones and teeth by helping the intestines absorb calcium and phosphorus; it also contributes to normal muscle and immune system function. Adequate vitamin D levels are important for healthy bone development in children and for maintaining bone health in adults. Higher levels are not always better: Unnecessary and excessive use of supplements can be harmful; the need for supplementation should be assessed individually.
