Vicdan Safel
Born on 17.10.1998 in Girne, Northern Cyprus. She completed her education up to high school at Lapta Yavuzlar High School and graduated from the Molecular Biology and Genetics department of Near East University in 2021. Between 2018-2019, she completed her internship in the biochemistry and DNA laboratories at Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital. In 2021, she attended the 16th Molecular Biology and Genetics Winter School, the 17th Molecular Biology and Genetics Winter School, and the 18th Molecular Biology and Genetics Winter School, all organized by Istanbul University's Genetics Club. She also participated in the 1st and 2nd Cyprus Genetics and Genomic Research Symposiums hosted by Near East University. After taking her first step in her career as a biologist in 2021, she has been working as a biologist at our institution, Wellcare Laboratory, since 2023.
